Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Authors who publish with the Journal of Medical Laboratory Diagnostics (JMLD) retain full copyright of their work. Upon acceptance, authors grant JMLD the right of first publication, while remaining the sole copyright holders of the content submitted.
Authors retain copyright of their manuscript and simultaneously grant JMLD the right of first publication. The work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing others to share and adapt the work provided proper credit is given to the original authors and JMLD as the place of first publication.
Authors are free to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of their article — for example, depositing it in an institutional repository or including it in a book — provided that JMLD is acknowledged as the original place of publication.
Authors are permitted and encouraged to share their published article online (for example, on institutional repositories, personal websites, or academic networking platforms) both before and during the submission process, as this can lead to productive scholarly exchange and increased citation of the published work.
