The BALANCED NUTRITION EDUCATION USING INFOGRAPHICS ON EATING BEHAVIOR IN EARLY ADOLESCENTS

Nutrition issues among adolescents often arise due to unhealthy eating habits, such as an imbalance between nutrient intake and the recommended nutrition. The use of engaging learning media can stimulate motivation and interest in learning among adolescents. The goal of community service is to improve adolescents' knowledge and eating behavior regarding balanced nutrition through infographic media. The method used involves providing education on balanced nutrition for adolescents and monitoring eating behaviors. The target group for this education is early adolescents aged 12-14 years at SMPN 1 Malang. The results of the education show that the adolescents' knowledge in the pre-test was 5% good and 90% good in the post-test. The results of monitoring eating behavior showed that in the pre-test, 9% had good behavior, and 76% showed good behavior in the post-test. The conclusion of the community service is that it successfully improved adolescents' knowledge and eating behavior regarding balanced nutrition to maintain optimal adolescent health.
