Copyright Ownership
Authors who publish with the Journal of Midwifery, Maternal and Reproductive Health Studies (J2MR) retain the copyright of their own work. Authors grant J2MR the right of first publication, while retaining full ownership of the intellectual content of their manuscript.
By submitting a manuscript to J2MR, the corresponding author confirms, on behalf of all co-authors, that the work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and does not infringe upon the copyright or intellectual property rights of any third party.
License Granted to the Journal
Upon acceptance, authors grant J2MR a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and archive the article in print and/or electronic form, and to permit others to do the same, in accordance with the journal's designated Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.
This license permits J2MR to disseminate the published article as widely as possible while ensuring that the authors retain both credit for and ongoing control over how their work may be reused by third parties, in accordance with the terms of the CC BY-SA 4.0 license described on the journal's Open Access Policy page.
Copyright Statement for Authors
By submitting a manuscript to J2MR, the author(s) agree to the following terms:
- The author(s) retain copyright and grant J2MR the right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0, which permits others to share and adapt the work with appropriate attribution and under the same license.
- The author(s) are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., posting it to an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), provided there is proper acknowledgment of its initial publication in J2MR.
- The author(s) are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on personal websites) prior to and during the submission process, as this can lead to productive exchanges and earlier, greater citation of published work.
