Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrine disease complained by women of reproductive age. The course of PCOS disease is multifactorial, however, two important processes that influence the development of PCOS are oxidative stress and hyperlipidemia. Complications from PCOS such as infertility are the result of therapies that have not yet been found to treat this condition. Interventions that have been tried to treat PCOS have various side effects that affect the patient's condition. Therefore, a new breakthrough is needed to overcome PCOS. Phytochemical compounds, namely curcumin, is considered to have potential in the management of PCOS. The effect of antioxidants and lipid regulation can be a new breakthrough to treat PCOS. Literature searching were carried out through several research databases including Google Scholar, PubMed, and Wiley. The keywords used were "curcumin", "oxidative stress", "metabolic profile" and "PCOS". Literature search resulted in 1,772 journals with 39 journals compatible to our criteria. We prioritize studies that were published in the last five years. Various studies have proven the effectiveness of curcumin in changing the pathophysiological processes of oxidative stress and hyperlipidemia in PCOS patients. In addition, the utilization and use of curcumin in Indonesia is quite easy to reach. Administration of curcumin can be widely and efficiently recommended in PCOS patients.
