Similarity Policy

Manuscripts submitted to the HIJP journal will be checked for similarity in content using the iThenticate application. This checking is carried out in two stages, namely (1) in the pre-review process and (2) in the post-review process.

The tolerance limit for the similarity test results is 15-20 percent (not including the bibliography and the similarity is below 2 percent). The point of this check is not how many percent of the numbers are generated, but so that the submitted manuscripts do not contain plagiarism and redundant publications. So whatever the percentage, it will still be reviewed strictly by the editor.

The percentage of similarity that is more than 50 percent will be rejected from the editorial process. Manuscripts whose percentage value is less than 50 percent will be returned to the correspondent author for revision first.
