Dental and oral health of autistic children in generally poor. This is compounded by the inability to brush teeth properly, due to disruption of concentration and child interaction, making it difficult to receive instructions on how to brush teeth. The effective ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) method can improve children's motor, behavioral and cognitive abilities. Objective to determine the effect of therapeutic communication using the ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) method on the ability to brush teeth in autistic children. The research method using purposive sampling method with one group pre test and post test design that is giving intervention to the same sample group by comparing the results of the ability to brush teeth and the behavior of autistic children before and after being treated. Analysis of the data using the Wilcoxon Test with the results of p-value 0,000 < 0,05 which means H1 is accepted, so there is an effect of therapeutic communication using the ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) method on the ability to brush teeth in autistic children. The conclusion of this study is therapeutic communication using the ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) method effective in increasing the ability to brush teeth in autistic children.
