Garbage is something that is discarded and unused and comes from every human activity. Based on its nature, waste is divided into 2, namely organic and inorganic waste. Based on data collection from 46 households in Wonoerjo Village, the whole community still burns waste to avoid landfilling due to the absence of a TPA in the village. Waste must be managed properly, otherwise it will have a negative impact on public health and the environment. The aim of this counseling and training is to increase public knowledge and awareness of the dangers of burning waste for environmental and individual health as well as how to manage household waste into compost and handicrafts. This research uses lecture and discussion methods in counseling as well as lectures and demonstrations in
training. The results of this study are increasing public knowledge about burning waste and waste management, producing compost which is then used by the community, and handicrafts from household waste. In addition, the increase in the number of 2 questionnaires given shows that the community understands the counseling provided. In the pre-test, the average community score was 64, while in the post-test, it increased to 85.
