Nutritional status is a condition in which the body's health requires nutrient intake through food and drink which is linked to needs. The nutritional status is good and sufficient, but due to unbalanced consumption patterns, malnutrition and excess nutritional status will arise (Anggraini, 2010). This research is a type of cross sectional study which is used to determine the relationship between nutritional status and development of children aged 12-24 months at the Pratama Masta Clinic, Pekan Labuhan Village, Medan Labuhan District in 2020. The sample in this research is mothers of children aged 12-24 months, amounting to 54 respondents who were determined based on the calculation of the Slovin formula. Data analysis was performed using bivariate analysis with the chi scuarese test at ? = 5%. The results of this study indicate that the nutritional status of children at the age of 12-24 months is mostly good as many as 33 respondents (61.11%) according to the development of the child's age as many as 28 respondents (51.9%). The results of the chi square test obtained a p-value of 0.003. Thus, there is a significant relationship between nutritional status and development of children aged 12-24 months at the Primary Masta Clinic in 2020. It is hoped that the results of this study can provide information that there is still poor nutrition and inappropriate development, cadres must continue to motivate. Parents to continue to follow posyandu, are expected to increase the number of samples and the coverage area and expand other factors that affect the growth and development of babies.
