Copyright and License
Clarifying copyright ownership, author warranties, and licensing terms for every article published in JHNC.
Authors who publish with the Journal of Holistic Nursing and Clinical Innovation (JHNC) retain the copyright of their own work. By submitting a manuscript to JHNC, authors agree to the following terms:
- Authors retain copyright and grant JHNC the right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), which permits others to share and adapt the work with appropriate attribution and under the same license.
- Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., posting it to an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), provided that a clear acknowledgement of its initial publication in JHNC is included.
- Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their personal website) both prior to and during the submission process, as this can lead to productive scholarly exchange and earlier and greater citation of published work.
By submitting a manuscript, the corresponding author, on behalf of all co-authors, warrants that:
- The submitted manuscript is the author's original work and has not been published previously, in whole or in substantial part, in any language or medium.
- The manuscript is not currently under consideration, accepted for publication, or in press with another journal or publisher.
- All co-authors have approved the manuscript for submission and agree with its content and the order of authorship.
- Where the manuscript includes material owned by a third party (e.g., figures, tables, or extended quotations), the author has obtained the necessary written permission from the copyright holder for both print and electronic publication, and has clearly cited the source.
- The research complies with applicable ethical standards, including relevant institutional or ethics committee approvals and, where applicable, informed consent from research participants.
All published articles are distributed under this license.
This license allows anyone to share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material) for any purpose, even commercially, provided that:
- Attribution is given to the original author(s) and JHNC, with a link to the license and an indication of any changes made.
- Any derivative work is distributed under the same CC BY-SA 4.0 license as the original.
For the full legal text of this license, readers may refer to the official Creative Commons license deed.
Because JHNC articles are published under CC BY-SA 4.0, no separate written permission is required to reuse, share, or adapt published content, provided the terms of attribution and share-alike licensing are respected. For inquiries regarding the appropriate citation format, use of specific figures or tables, or any other reuse-related questions, readers may contact the editorial team through the official JHNC contact channel listed on the journal's website.
The views and opinions expressed in articles published by JHNC are those of the respective authors and do not necessarily reflect the official views or policies of JHNC, its editorial board, or the Department of Nursing, Poltekkes Kemenkes Kendari. The publisher and editors make every effort to ensure that information published is accurate, but accept no liability for any errors or omissions, or for the consequences arising from the use of the information contained within published articles.
