Freeze Drying Tomatoes As An Effort To Improve Anemia Status In Pregnant Women (Hemoglobin Level Study)

Ringkasan: Latar belakang: Prevalensi anemia ibu hamil di Kota Semarang mencapai 12,84% dengan program suplementasi tablet Fe selama 90 hari kurang efektif meningkatkan status anemia. Diperlukan alternatif non-farmakologis yang aman dan efektif. Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh freeze drying tomat terhadap perbaikan status anemia pada ibu hamil anemia. Metode: Quasi-eksperimen pretest-posttest control group design pada 40 ibu hamil anemia trimester I-III di Puskesmas Rowosari dan Srondol menggunakan purposive sampling. Kelompok perlakuan mendapat freeze drying tomat 5 gram (mengandung 50 mg vitamin C) plus tablet Fe, kelompok kontrol hanya tablet Fe selama 10 hari. Analisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan independent t-test. Hasil: Peningkatan kadar hemoglobin kelompok perlakuan dari 9,665 gr/dl menjadi 10,970 gr/dl, sedangkan kontrol dari 9,735 gr/dl menjadi 10,575 gr/dl (p=0,000). Simpulan: Freeze drying tomat efektif meningkatkan kadar hemoglobin ibu hamil anemia. Saran: Implementasi freeze drying tomat sebagai pendamping tablet Fe dalam program penanggulangan anemia maternal.
