Abstract
The results of the 2018 Riskesdas of Southeast Sulawesi Province for Kendari City for adolescents aged 13-15 amounted to 21.94% with short and very short nutritional status, if this problem continues into adulthood, health problems will arise in the fetus they contain so that the intergenerational chain of nutritional problems will not occur. stopped. This will have an impact on increasing the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia. Optimal nutritional intake, both quantity and quality, is very important for optimal growth and development. For this reason, adolescent diets need to be improved towards balanced nutritional consumption. Consumption of balanced nutrition is also determined by the size of the meal portion, an error in estimating the size of the portion will affect the quality of the estimate and have an impact on the inaccuracy of the amount of nutrient consumption. One effort that can be done is to improve adolescent nutrition through specific nutritional interventions, one of which is through nutritional counseling. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of nutritional counseling using flipcharts on the ability of young women to estimate food portions at SMAN 6 Kendari. The type of this research was an analytic survey with a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test post-test control group design model, namely Nutrition Counseling was divided into 2 groups, namely the control group using teaching aids in the form of leaflets and the case group using flipchart teaching aids. Based on the results of the independent T test, it showed that the p value = 0.000 where the p value <0.05 so that it can be concluded that there is a difference in effectiveness between leaflet media and flipchart media in improving the ability of young women to estimate food portions.
