Diabetes mellitus is a condition caused by a metabolic malfunction of insulin action, which raises the body's blood glucose levels. Complications from diabetes mellitus are possible. This could result in a mental breakdown, such depression. Diabetes mellitus is associated with a persistent psychological issue called depression. In addition to personality traits like introversion and extroversion, there are other factors that can affect sadness. The goal of research is to ascertain the association between personality types and the severity of depression in people with complications from diabetes mellitus. The research was quantitative and used a sample technique on 58 respondents in a series of sectional designs. The BDI-II questionnaire and Jung's Type Indicator are used in the research tool to determine depression severity. Statistic decryptive and bivariate with spearmen's rho are used in univariate analysis. According to studies, the majority of diabetics are introverted and experience little depression. There is a significant, exaggerated connection between personality type and depression rate at P-value 0.014<0.05. In turn, it is envisaged that it will be feasible to broaden the scope of other personality types and incorporate additional diabetes-related elements.
