Hubungan Tingkat Spiritual Dengan Tingkat Depresi Pada Penyandang Diabates Mellitus Dengan Komplikasi

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a long-term disease that cannot be cured. This disease can cause complications, with complications people can experience psychological disorders, one of which is depression. Depression is a big problem in psychological disorders for type 2 DM patients. Efforts to control depression are by spiritual improvement. One's spirituality can be used as adaptive coping. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between spiritual level and depression level in people with diabetes mellitus with complications. This type of research is a descriptive quantitative, using data collection methodscross sectional. The number of samples was 58 respondents in the internal medicine polyclinic at RSUD Dr. Moewardi used a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a questionnaire, DSES to measure spiritual level and BDI-II to measure depression level. Data analysis using spearman's rho. The results showed that the majority of people with diabetes with complications experienced minimal depression, and had a high spiritual level.there is a relationship between spiritual level with depression level withSig.(2-tailed) value 0.02 < 0.05. With enough correlation and not unidirectional. Suggestions for future researchers can identify other factors that affect the level of depression or develop research with more or random respondents.
