Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are frequently found in the Men that Have Sex with Men (MSM) group, with or without HIV. Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is often used to reduce HIV-AIDS incidence and can be considered to reduce the incidence of STIs in the MSM group. This study reviewed the effects of PrEP on the transmission and spread of STIs in MSM. We conducted a literature review by searching for journal articles published in the 2013–2023 period on Google Scholar, Science Direct, PubMed, Hindawi, and Ebsco. According to the research, the MSM group has a high STIs rate due to risky behaviors such as unprotected sex, multiple partners, and anal sex. Although PrEP has been proven to reduce the incidence of HIV-AIDS, it has not been shown to reduce the incidence of STIs in the MSM group with or without HIV due to increased risky behaviors after using PPrp
