Kasus Tinea Korporis Disertai Hipertensi Dan Obesitas Dengan Pendekatan Kedokteran Keluarga

Tinea corporis is a superficial dermatophyte infection characterized by an inflammatory or non inflammatory lesion with central healing on the glabrous skin. The prevalence of tinea corporis in Indonesia is 52% (2015). The prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia is 34,11% whereas obesity is 21,8% (2008). This family medicine approach visit aims to treat tinea corporis infection in Mr. M, prevent secondary infection, and transmission to the family members. In addition, this visit also aims to control blood pressure and obesity which has recently occured and identified in Mr. M. Mr. M is a patient with tinea corporis infection in the calf which is spreading vastly to the front calf and left knee. The patient experienced sleep disturbances and difficulty concentrating due to itching. Based on the history and physical examination, the diagnosis was tinea corporis, hypertension, and obesity. Through the family medicine approach using Mandala of Health, there is an increase in knowledge about tinea corporis, hypertension, and obesity resulting a change in treatment, diet, and physical activity. Therefore, the tinea corporis infection in Mr. M is healed, the blood pressure is controlled, and the body weight is maintained. Conclusion: The cause of tinea corporis in Mr. M was found from the patient’s habit of fishing while putting his feet into the pond. Lack of knowledge and poor hygiene of the patient causes the tinea corporis lesion to spread vastly. Poor eating habits of the patient causes hypertension and obesity. After being treated with a family medicine approach, Mr. M recovered from tinea corporis, his blood pressure has decreased, and his diet improved.
