Preeclampsia is a pathological condition of pregnancy that causes complications and cause maternal and perinatal death. Preeclampsia itself is part of hypertension in pregnancy, which has caused 1,077 maternal deaths in 2021 in Indonesia. Although several journals have recommended the use of aspirin and calcium supplementation to reduce the incidence of preeclampsia, it is still controversial among clinicians. This literature review aims to evaluate the potential of aspirin with calcium supplementation in reducing the incidence of preeclampsia. Databases used in this study include Pubmed, Google Scholar, Ebsco, Medline, Science Direct, Cochrane and Hindawi. Several studies have shown that administration of low-dose aspirin not exceeding 150mg/day in early gestation can reduce risk factors for preeclampsia and reduce the incidence of maternal and perinatal mortality. Calcium supplementation reduces the incidence of preeclampsia in mothers with calcium deficiency. Administration of low-dose aspirin and calcium supplementation from early gestational age was shown to reduce the incidence of preeclampsia.
