One of the causes of TB transmission in children is also due to diagnostic delays and also difficulties in diagnosing TB. Screening children who have contact with pulmonary TB is important as an early detection of pediatric TB infection. Therefore, this community service activity aims to educate and screen the risk of TB transmission in children in coastal areas. This activity involves village officials, health centers and community members who are undergoing or have been detected positive for pulmonary TB. From the results of the evaluation of the activity, it was found that there was an increase in the level of knowledge about pulmonary TB (80%) on average and 7 participants were found to be at high risk of transmitting TB to children out of 25 community service participants. It is hoped that this screening instrument can be used by health workers at health centers in early detection of the risk of pulmonary TB transmission in children who live in the same household as the patient or have a history of pulmonary TB.
