Training of Integrated Healthcare Center Cadres on Postpartum Care

Postpartum care is needed because it is a critical period in which 60% of maternal deaths occur during the puerperium. Midwives who are responsible for providing care during the postpartum period really need help from the community. Cadres as part of the community are very important to be given guidance including postpartum care so that they can help health workers in providing education to mothers. The purpose of the activity is to provide training for cadres regarding postpartum care and increasing knowledge of cadres about postpartum care. The methods used are lectures and simulations. Activities involving the coordinating midwife at the Soropia Public health center and Integrated Healthcare Center cadres in Soropia Subdistrict is 30 people as the target of coaching. The results of the dedication showed that the mean pre-test score for knowledge was 58.52 and the mean score for the post-test for knowledge was 85.93. The results of the dedication can be concluded that there is an increase in the knowledge of cadres. This activity is very important so that cadres can educate postpartum mothers and their families so that in the future the mother and baby pass the postpartum period healthily and happily.
