Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic affects a person, especially the survivor of COVID-19. This study aims to explore the experiences of the survivors of COVID-19 while experiencing COVID-19. This study used a phenomenology approach of 10 COVID-19 survivors aged 19-39 years who experienced COVID-19 for a maximum of 6 months when interviewed. Data was collected using semi-structural methods and analyzed using Colaizzi data analysis using Atlas-ti software. The results of this study obtained 19 codes, 7 sub-themes, and 3 themes, namely, living in the shadow of COVID-19; the psychosocial burden due to transmitting COVID-19, and vaccination status increasing self-confidence. Survivors of COVID require physical and psychosocial health treatment after being exposed to COVID, especially for those who show symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. In addition, social support and vaccinations are important for clients both physically and psychologically. Further research is needed, especially on PTSD in COVID-19 survivors.
