Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a collection of symptoms that arise due to an increase in blood glucose levels due to a progressive decrease in insulin secretion and a background of insulin resistance.The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) states that DM is the seventh leading cause of death in the world.High blood sugar levels and continuously in diabetes mellitus can cause complications in people with diabetes mellitus.One is high blood pressure (hypertension).The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between blood glucose levels and hypertension in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the River Park housing area, Mangga Village, Medan Tuntungan District, Medan City.The sample used was residents in the River Park housing area, Mangga Village, Medan Tuntungan District, Medan City.Sampling using purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of the study, there was no significant relationship between blood glucose levels and hypertension with a significance value of 0.161 > 0.05.
