Hygiene Sanitasi Jajanan Anak Sekolah Dasar Dengan Kejadian Diare di Desa Saentis Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan
Abstract
Hygiene is an effort to improve individual health through preventive health measures. Food sanitation is an effort to maintain food hygiene, safety and health by securing and preserving it. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between food handler hygiene, equipment sanitation, serving sanitation, and facilities sanitation with the incidence of diarrhea. This type of quantitative research is descriptive observational survey using the Chi-Square statistical test. The results obtained showed that there was a relationship between handler knowledge (p=0.014), handler hygiene (p=0.026), equipment sanitation (p=0.003), presentation sanitation (p=0.003), facility sanitation (p=0.044) with the incidence of diarrhea in elementary schools, Saentis Village, Percut Sei Tuan District. It can be concluded that food vendors must always pay attention to personal hygiene before handling food. And don’t forget to pay attention to the condition of equipment and food storage before selling so that contamination does not occur. As well as strive for safe and clean facilities/facilities.
