The haze disaster that occurred due to forest and land fires in 2015 caused 43 million people to be exposed to smoke haze, 503,874 people suffered from ISPA, caused 26 deaths, and economic losses of 200 trillion rupiah. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors of knowledge, skills, disaster management readiness, self-regulation, and the atmosphere of health services related to the preparedness of puskesmas nurses in dealing with the haze disaster in Pontianak City. The design of this research is an analytic survey with a cross sectional approach. The number of respondents as many as 90 health center nurses by simple random sampling. This research was conducted in 23 health centers in the working area of ??Pontianak City. Spearman ranks test shows the relationship between skill factor (p= 0.000), disaster management readiness (p= 0.013), but not with the health service atmosphere (p= 0.558) and the preparedness of puskesmas nurses in dealing with haze disaster. The logistic regression test explained that skills were the most related factor to the preparedness of puskesmas nurses in dealing with the haze disaster with an Exp (B) value of 6,559. Skills cannot be achieved properly without good preparedness of disaster management. Therefore nurses can take part in simulations, seminars and training on disasters and play an active role in the disaster management process, both in the preparedness and response phases.
