HEALTH EDUCATION AND PROTEINURIA SCREENING FOR EARLY DETECTION OF CHRONIC KIDNEY FAILURE RISK IN ADOLESCENTS

Latar belakang: Gagal ginjal kronis pada remaja meningkat, sementara kebiasaan minum air putih rendah dan skrining ginjal jarang dilakukan. Tujuan: Menganalisis efektivitas edukasi kesehatan dan skrining proteinuria sebagai deteksi dini risiko gagal ginjal kronik pada remaja SMA. Metode: Pengabdian masyarakat dengan desain pre–eksperimental one group pretest–posttest pada 50 siswa SMA Negeri 2 Kendari. Intervensi berupa edukasi menggunakan video dan presentasi disertai diskusi, dilanjutkan pemeriksaan protein urin sewaktu dengan metode carik celup. Data pengetahuan dijelaskan secara deskriptif komparatif. Hasil: Rerata skor pengetahuan meningkat dari 68,80 menjadi 98,10 (kenaikan 42,6%) dengan penyebaran skor yang lebih homogen. Skrining menunjukkan 12% siswa tanpa proteinuria, 82% positif +1, dan 6% positif ++2. Simpulan: Pendidikan kesehatan efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan pencegahan gagal ginjal kronik, sedangkan tingginya temuan proteinuria membuktikan pentingnya penemuan dini. Saran: Diperlukan pemantauan lanjutan, indikasi klinis, dan integrasi program pendidikan ginjal berkelanjutan di sekolah
