Abstract

The participation of health workers is an important matter in caring patients. Starting from the asses ment stage to the patient's discharge, the role of health workers is in it. It is the same as the patient and family centered care model where health workers have a big role in achieving the goals of the treatment. The aim of this study was to describe patient and family centered care for heart failure from the pe spective of health care providers. Quantitative descriptive method is used in this research. A total of 173 health workers were selected using a total sampling technique based on the sample selection criteria that had been determined by the researchers. The results of this study obtained an overview of patient and family centered care for heart failure from the point of view of health service providers in a good category. It is also hoped that the participation of health workers in the application of the patient and family centered care model can be applied to the care of patients with other clinical conditions.
