Abstract

Heart failure is a significant health problem both in the world and in Indonesia, and its morbidity and mortality rates are high. This condition is associated with low self-care performed by sufferers. Therefore, health officers give therapy and take the family's role. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of the family in the care of heart failure patients based on the patient's perspective. The quantive descriptive method used in this research. A total of 294 heart failure patients were selected using purposive techniques based on sample selection criteria that researchers had set. The results of this study obtained an overview of the family's role in treating heart failure patients with a good category. It is hoped that family involvement in patient care will also carry out in treating patients with other clinical conditions.
